The Nuraghe Losa is a complex monument, formed by a central tower and a triangular bastion with three towers at the corners (trilobated bastion). The complex is partly surrounded by an antemural with two round towers and straight walls. At the very front there is a massive circular isolated building.
The terms used to describe the nuraghes are taken from the military vocabulary due to some seeming resemblances with the medieval castles. This does not mean that the nuraghes were actually fortresses.
