04 / THE SETTLEMENT

The enclosure wall surrounds the settlement, which developed during the nuragic age and continued during the punic, roman and early-medieval periods. The settlement has been barely touched by the archaeological excavations, which brought to light incomplete parts of houses from the different periods in the eastern and central sector, near the nuraghe. The nuragic houses were composed of several rooms, at first circular in plan, then also quadrangular; on the contrary, during the following periods rectangular structures prevail.
